PROJECT:
WDI MONORAIL HALLWAY
CLIENT: Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI)
LOCATION: WDI HQ (1401 Flower Street, Glendale, CA)
In 2014, I worked with live-events design studio, Kreate Inc. to devise the perfect concept for new permanent installations for Walt Disney Imagineering's new initiative to develop themed hallways for guest-visitor areas of its main building. I created the now-infamous monorail-themed concept and designed this corridor to resemble a Walt Disney-themed monorail car interior design, complete with themed window-like video screens displaying looping animations that feature different Disney parks, attractions, and characters. Conceptually, the video media allows guests walking through the hallway to feel as though they are being transported to various Disney location themes, and in reality, serves as a main passage connecting various parts of the WDI campus headquarters in Glendale.
